To use your VapCap:

1. Most important! Please read all of these instructions before using it for the first time and then do at least two, preferably more than two, dry runs and nothing in the VapCap! This is very important to familiarize yourself with the operation of the unit and to prevent unintentional combustion residue.
2.  The VapCap is unlike any other vaporizer, so empty it for a few tries to get a feel for the unique click indicating temperature. Warm up the VapCap in a quiet place, listen and feel to know what you're looking for. If you are using a burner lighter, it shouldn't take more than 5 or 6 seconds. Heat the center of the cap, not the end, and rotate it while it is heating. If more than 6 seconds pass and you don't hear a click, stop heating and let it cool.
3.  If you severely overheat your VapCap, it may be permanently damaged. It is very important that you hear a click or cool to the touch before warming up for the next cycle. Repeat this procedure several times to get an idea of how this little unit works.
4.  When you're ready to use it for the first time, let it cool down and remove the cap from the VapCap.
5.  Fill the VapCap chamber with the material you have chosen. This can easily be done by pushing the VapCap into the material container and twisting. Pre-grinding your material is NOT necessary, like when using a bat or hitter. If you prefer to grind, go for coarse. The finely ground material will get through the diffuser disc and into the unit.
6.  Put the cap back on the VapCap.
7.  Heat the metal cap of your VapCap while rotating so that the flame or heat source is applied to the last third of the metal cap. Try to apply heat only to the side of the cap and NOT to the end. This is not like lighting a smoking device.
8.  Continue turning and heating the cap until you hear and feel a click - this means the VapCap is ready!
9.  Inflate the mouthpiece. Experiment a bit here. If you are drawing with a completely blocked air hole, the flow will seem somewhat restricted. This is normal. Some find that they get the best results with a long, slow steady draw with the hole completely open, and others intermittently or lightly cover the port for air/vapor mixing. The way the air flows through the VapCap cools the vapor and provides a smooth experience.
10. Continue drawing as needed until you hear the click again, this indicates that the VapCap has cooled.
11. When steam production drops, it's easy to reactivate. A. Make sure the VapCap has clicked "cool" again before reheating for the next cycle. b. If you are not sure if it has clicked again, blow gently on the end to cool it down. It may take up to 1 minute to refresh.
12. If the desired vapor is no longer forming and the lid has clicked "cool", remove the lid. The spent material can either be blown to the end, or the small tip on the cap is also a great "outside dredge".
13. Reload the next round of simple and awesome pairs.

Tips:

• - We recommend that you use a butane torch style lighter with your VapCap.
• - Wait until you hear or feel the reset click, or at least 30 seconds after the VapCap stops producing steam to reheat.
• - It is very important to wait until you hear the click before applying more heat.
• - Stop heating your VapCap as soon as you hear the click until you get to know each other better.
• - You can change the aroma intensity using the air/vapor adjustment port.
• - Depending on your personal preference and heat source, as well as how many cycles since loading your VapCap, you may want to apply heat for 1-2 seconds after the click. This will provide a different level of roasted flavor.
• - DO NOT APPLY HEAT FOR MORE THAN 3 SECONDS OF CLICK TIME! OVERHEATING WILL SERIOUSLY DAMAGE THE VAPCAP!
• - The end of the VapCap will get very hot during and after use. Do not touch the hot end until it cools down. Also, please do not put the hot end in your mouth.
• - The VapCap can be safely returned to the special case or reloaded once you hear the cool down

Cleaning Instructions:

To remove spent material from the chamber, either blow out the mouthpiece or use the built-in extractor or "external digger" to empty the chamber. The body can be cleaned with hot water. You can also use the included carrying case with almost any cleaning solution filled halfway, then shake or soak it and wash the VapCap with the cap removed.
